Sovereignty

There’s a word being used more and more right now: sovereignty.

It’s being spoken in quiet circles and louder spaces, often with intensity behind it.

A Woman’s Story of Life Purpose

A single mother found a new church for herself and her two young children. It felt good to belong somewhere again. The music echoed softly in the halls. The children laughed easily. The air felt hopeful.

She volunteered to sing with the children’s group. A few months later, Pastor Dave approached her with an idea. “We’d like you to lead a single-parent group.” He emphasized she could conduct the group in the other office. The materials were ready. The curriculum was organized. The room was available.

What was missing were the people.

The first year, five showed up, all women.

She prepared every week. Set out chairs. Made coffee. Smiled. But she drove home some evenings, wondering if it mattered.

As a single mother, she valued her time. She began to feel she wasn’t very good at this. Maybe someone else could draw more people in. Maybe she wasn’t the right one.

Not every yes or opportunity is the right move. This piece explores the difference between decisions made from the mind or the soul, and how this plays out in life choices.

The idea of stepping into a new life, such as moving, traveling, or starting again, often feels exciting. Sometimes it’s a dream you’ve carried for years. Other times, it comes in fast, like a sudden push to begin again. But not every push comes from the soul. Some come from thought. And not every thought leads us where we want to go.

There is a distinct difference in internal connections. The energy pulls us with force, pushing a “trigger” which is part of the answer. Part of the solution.

When it comes from thoughts, it makes sense. Your planning will be biased.

Your mind will become judgmental based on a closed mindset.

You may be wondering, how can we have a closed mindset when we are spiritually growing?

The personal journey leads us down a path of many, many layers of the soul’s life and our human experiences. It takes time. A new kind of patience that requires putting ourselves first without the old messages rumbling in the background.

For example, if a dream was to travel the world and someone close to you said you don’t deserve to go, or you can’t afford to go, it sticks in the subconscious mind. Hides in there. Waiting until you reach that stage of layering.

Whether it is obvious or subtle, a trigger is set off by something related to the areas, beliefs, or suppressed emotions. Out of sight, out of mind, does not mean it’s completely gone. If your dream of traveling was stamped out by people you trusted, the underlying comments return in your memories. Once the memory adapts, the thoughts and feelings return. Even if we have healed them, they are still stored internally.

Here is a crucial point in understanding why they continue, and it is never about punishment or any form of sabotage. The universe is always offering options. When we have repeating memories, they can consume us - our thoughts, if we aren’t aware of what is happening.
